Summary - What did you learn? In the class of September 27 we continue to practice estimate with decimals. This means that we could do different operations in an easier way because we were working with whole numbers. Also we did several problem solving by estimating with decimals.
Summary - What did you learn? From the class of September 26 I learned how to estimate with decimals numbers. This means that I can round up a decimal number to the nearest whole number to estimate products, quotiens, additions and subtractions. For example:   131.84  ÷  9.8 Rounded to: 132  ÷ 10= 13.2

From the class of 25 of September I learned how to write decimal numbers in expanded form and how to name the different places and values of a number like thousand, hundred, tens and ones before the decimal point and tenths, hundredths and thousandths after the decimal point. For example the number 357.268 Expanded form:  300 + 50 + 7 + 0.2 + 0.06 + 0.008  Places: 3 hundreds 5 tens 7 ones 2 tenths 6 hundredths 8 thousandths
